Indigo Flight From Mumbai To Guwahati Diverted Due To Dense Fog Landed In Dhaka Bangladesh

Indigo flight landed in Dhaka: Severe cold and dense fog are having the greatest impact on air services. An IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Guwahati was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka on Saturday (January 13).

The reason for this was that due to dense fog at Guwahati Airport, visibility had become almost zero. Due to this the flight could not land at Guwahati airport in Assam. The flight was later diverted towards Dhaka, more than 400 kilometers away from the Assam city.

Congress leaders were in the flight

According to an NDTV report, former Mumbai Youth Congress chief Suraj Singh Thakur, who was going to attend Congress’ Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Imphal, was also present in that flight. He said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that he was on a flight from Mumbai to Guwahati, but the flight was diverted.

‘All travelers crossed the international border without passport’
The Congress leader wrote on social media, “I had taken Indigo 6E flight number 6E 5319 from Mumbai to Guwahati but due to dense fog the flight could not land in Guwahati. Instead, it landed in Dhaka.” He said that all the passengers on board the plane crossed the international border without their passports.

Was to participate in Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra
The Congress leader wrote that the passengers are still inside the plane. He wrote in another post, “I have been stuck inside the plane for 9 hours now. I left for Manipur (Imphal) for Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Let’s see when I reach Guwahati and then fly to Imphal.” .”

Indigo did not give any statement
There has been no statement from Indigo yet regarding the flight emergency at Dhaka airport. Officially, it is not clear at the moment why the flight was diverted towards Dhaka. The statement of the airline company is awaited.
